  • random stuff:

    1. i think i have the flu or some crap.  i'm at the stage where my nose is completely jammed up with nastiness.  i've used afrin twice in the last day or so, and man, it really helps to loosen up the congestion.  i can breathe through my nose, but i'm still a bit congested because i can't taste anything.  i was at TX roadhouse last nite and i could hardly taste the ribs or steak, except when i blew my nose really hard before a bite.  now i'm eating blueberry crunch cereal, a freakin awesome cereal, but i can't taste it; it's just textures in my mouth.

    2. from yesterday's sermon - squirt some milk in your mouth, ahhh.

    3. there was a pube on the milk carton at work.

  • dang, my girl is so awesome.  i introduced her to chipotle because they had this promotion where if you bought a $5 gift card between certain dates and saved the receipt, you could go back between 2.12 and 2.14, buy a burrito and get another one free.  so a couple fridays ago, we got two burritos plus the gift card and then to kick off valentine's week we hit up chipotle again, yesterday, using the $5 gift card on ourselves and turning in the receipt from last time for a free burrito.  it was awesome, especially since she paid for everything.

  • "One of the most reliable predictors of whether a boy will succeed or
fail in high school rests on a single question: does he have a man in his
life to look up to? ... Psychologists say that grandfathers and uncles
can help, but emphasize that an adolescent boy without a father figure
is like an explorer without a map." (Peg Tyre, "The Trouble With Boys," Newsweek, 30 January 2006: 51)

  • oh man, today in church, i was walking around before service and a few
steps ahead of me were a couple agimas.  continuing on, i bowed
slightly, smiled, and greeted them with a quick "anyong haseyo".
they returned the same gestures back, but then as i was passing, out of
the corner of my eye i saw one agima lean into the other's ear, point
to me, and say "mok sa nim (blah blah blah)."

i don't know much korean, but ... ooooohh brother, i understood everything i needed to.

  • i'm in debt "big times" - which apparently means more than one lifetime of indebtedness, but a "couple" lifetimes.

  • have you ever experienced those stages in life where minutes and hours fly by, but days and weeks pass so slowly?

  • the day has passed and the secret is out, time to reset my friendster
back to the correct date and submit my directory form to church.
so much work brought down by a supposed good friend, damn you DYC!
